RE/MAX International, Inc. sold 630 franchises worldwide, while extending its global presence into eight new countries. A closer look at RE/MAX international franchise sales in 2009 shows explosive growth in several regions; southwest Germany increased 200%, Portugal grew 100%, and Israel was up 45%. The company added eight new countries, including the Bahamas, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica, Morocco, Peru, and Uruguay. In addition, the number of new offices in New England and southeast Michigan increased by 100%, in Georgia by 80%, and in the Mountains States region, franchise sales were up 40%.

RE/MAX Allegiance conducted 843 transactions in September and 722 in October. These stats may not seem like a big deal, but they may be. See, that is two months in a row that we had an increase in the number of transactions compared with the same months last year. That is the first time this has happened in years. Considering we have fewer Associates than we did last year, this is quite an accomplishment and may point to  the beginning of market improvements.

LeadStreet, a service exclusively available to RE/MAX Associates, has paid off big-time for Sales Associate Claybrooke Dean of the Lee Hwy office. From one lead, Claybrooke recently settled his third sale from the same LeadStreet client. Total volume? A cool $2.7 million. Not bad for a free service that charges no referral fees. Just think, even if a traditional company had this service, Claybrooke would have given that broker 30%-40% before his split kicked in. RE/MAX affiliation pays dividends over and over.
