After owning the largest, most successful Exit Realty office in New York and then opening his own independent firm, a former RE/MAX Chairman’s Club member has returned to the network.
Scott Dobrin merged his 40-agent office with RE/MAX Metro in late June. Dobrin, who owned the top-producing Exit Realty firm for five years before opening his own brokerage – Scott Dobrin Realty – last year, says he came back to RE/MAX to focus on his first passion: working with buyers and sellers.
“I won’t be involved in the day-to-day running of the office; I’ll be doing what I do best, and that’s interacting with people and selling real estate,” Dobrin says. “There was no other choice for me except RE/MAX. With the international brand exposure, marketing tools, the remax.com Web site and that yard sign, being with RE/MAX will help me do more business and actually keep a majority of the money I make.”
Dobrin says he’s already receiving leads from LeadStreet and has rebranded his Hummer with RE/MAX wraps. He’s grateful, he says, for the warm welcome he’s received from his new Broker/Owners and colleagues.
The merger is part of an ongoing RE/MAX Metro growth initiative that began last year. The brokerage was established last September when Century 21 Calabrese, the most successful New York office in that organization, joined with two existing RE/MAX offices in Brooklyn.
Sal and Mike Calabrese and RE/MAX former Broker/Owners Frank Pennacchi and Joe Madaio negotiated the Century 21 merger to capitalize on the strength of the RE/MAX brand name and the trend of people moving from Brooklyn to Staten Island. They’re all glad to bring Dobrin and his agents into the group.
“Scott is a tremendous addition to our expanding team. He has relentless energy and he’s a nonstop marketing machine,” says Sal Calabrese, Co-Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Metro. “He does whatever it takes to help clients sell or find the homes of their dreams. Scott won’t simply list a property; he will park outside it with his custom-painted Hummer until it’s sold. This level of energy and extra effort is why he has been a top real estate professional and why RE/MAX is the right place for him.”
RE/MAX Metro is the second-largest real estate office on Staten Island, and it’s No. 1 in lower Brooklyn, controlling 44 percent of the market.
With the addition of Scott’s team, RE/MAX Metro also is poised to become the leader on Staten Island. The firm is an attractive option for real estate agents at underperforming competitors.
“Scott’s return to RE/MAX proves that our system is the best for real estate professionals who want to operate their own businesses and work with other top professionals,” says Henry Weber, President and Regional Director of RE/MAX of New York.
