RE/MAX Elevated to Race for the Cure National Sponsor
February 4, 2009 by Charlie Bengel, Jr.

After six years of co-sponsoring the Survivor Recognition Program at Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events, RE/MAX in 2009 takes a key step forward in the fight against breast cancer by becoming a national sponsor of the full race series.
Joining the likes of American Airlines and Ford, RE/MAX is one of only nine high-profile sponsors of the full series of 121 Race for the Cure events in 2009 – and the only real estate sponsor.
“We did the right thing in 2002 when RE/MAX first joined the breast cancer movement, and becoming a national sponsor is the natural next step,” says RE/MAX International CEO Margaret Kelly. “The enduring ‘RE/MAX Racing for Life’ slogan and this new level of sponsorship reflect the RE/MAX commitment to the breast cancer movement and Premier Community Citizenship.”
RE/MAX now will be represented on every one of the:

Komen for the Cure national and local media advertising and promotions – generating an estimated 220 million impressions.More than 3.3 million unique visitors check out komen.org each year – where RE/MAX will be prominently featured. And with Komen’s 49 percent share of voice in breast cancer advertising, RE/MAX becomes even more tightly linked to the breast cancer movement in 2009.
Here are even more benefits that come at no additional cost to RE/MAX:
Participation in pre-race or race awards ceremonies
Mention of RE/MAX in announcements made periodically throughout the race
The opportunity to include information about RE/MAX in race packets
